Daniel Gregory is a lifelong resident of Hudson, New York, where he was born, raised, and continues to live. He brings more than 25 years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse and currently serves in the urology department at Columbia Memorial Hospital. He is widely recognized for his dedication to patient care and his compassionate, patient-centered approach.

In addition to his healthcare career, Daniel has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to the performing arts. His passion for theater began at an early age, with participation in productions from Head Start through his senior year at Hudson High School. He became involved with Upstage Productions in 1994 with Jesus Christ Superstar, beginning a decades-long association with the organization.

Daniel has performed in numerous productions, with standout roles including the Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz—a role he reprised 20 years later—and Edna Turnblad in Hairspray, which he cites as a personal favorite. Most recently, he appeared as Miss Trunchbull in Matilda (2023).

Beyond performing, Daniel has contributed to productions in a variety of leadership and technical capacities, including as a production coordinator and member of stage crew. In 2022,
he made his directorial debut with Steel Magnolias, reflecting his continued artistic growth and leadership within the local arts community.

Daniel currently serves on the Board of Directors as a Representative at Large, where he brings a collaborative spirit, strong work ethic, and deep sense of community to his service. He believes theater is a powerful creative outlet that fosters connection, empathy, and humility.
