Annie Drewello (Betty Jean) is thrilled to be making her Upstage Productions debut! A Greene County Native, Annie teaches beginning band and chorus at Catskill Elementary School. An active performer, she is also a member of the Treble Choraliers of Catskill, the Hudson River Bells of Athens, and the Jubilate Singers of Bethlehem. Annie has desperately missed theater and is excited to be working with such a wonderful and talented cast! Some of her most notable past roles include Mama Euralie (Once on This Island), Bottom (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), and Aunt Eller (Oklahoma!). A special “Thank You” to her Parents for their support and giving her the gift of music, as well as her cheering section for not letting her give up on her dream of being on stage again!
Danielle is a recent Performing Arts Theatre and Arts Management graduate from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. While in college, Danielle took a focus on directing, choreographing, and management of non-for-profit arts organizations, but her love of theatre started as a performer. Her acting credits include Carrie: The Musical (Chris Hargensen), Bye, Bye Birdie (Rosie Alvarez), Dogs Sees God (Tricia), The Best of Everything (Brenda), Into The Woods (Jack’s Mom), and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Olive). She is currently working as a teacher aide at the Montgomery C. Smith Elementary School in Hudson. She is also the Associate Producer of Columbia County Youth Theatre where she teaches acting lessons, directs an after school program, a summer workshop program, and many other opportunities for children interested in theatre. Danielle would like to thank the marvelous ladies she has had the pleasure of collaborating with the past few months on this show.
This is Christine’s debut with Upstage Productions and her first musical role in 20 years. Back in the day, Christine played characters such as Nellie Forbush in “South Pacific”, Marty in “Grease”, Gladys in “The Pajama Game” and Ado Annie in “Oklahoma!” and was the co-leader of an all-female acapella singing group called “The Noteables”. In addition to being a mom to her beautiful children, Matthew and Paige, Christine is a Third Grade teacher in Chatham. She is so thankful to Upstage Productions for this opportunity to work with such incredibly talented women. Christine is especially grateful for her encouraging and supportive husband, Chip.
Megan is so excited to be performing again with Upstage Productions as Suzy in The Marvelous Wonderettes! Some favorite recent roles of Megan’s include Serena in Legally Blonde, Veronica in Heathers the Musical, and Janet in The Rocky Horror Show. Megan wishes to thank her cast mates and production crew for being an absolute pleasure to work with and making this such a great experience. She dedicates this and every performance in memory of her mother, Kathleen, who always inspired her love of musical theater.
