Auditions for Disney's "The Little Mermaid" to be Held in July
Come join Upstage Productions in a world under the sea by auditioning for Disney’s “The Little Mermaid”, a musical adventure enjoyed by young and old alike.
Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” is a musical based on Disney’s classic animated film and the classic Hans Christian Andersen’s story. The tale revolves around Ariel, a young mermaid who dreams of exploring the human world and falling in love. With the help of her friends, including the charming and hilarious Flounder and the wise-cracking seagull, Scuttle, Ariel embarks on a journey to make her dreams come true. Can she win the prince, regain her voice, and defeat the villainous sea witch Ursula?
AUDITION/CALLBACK INFORMATION:
* Who: Anyone ages 8 to 60+! Click here to download a PDF of the character descriptions.
* When: Wednesday, July 9 and Thursday, July 10 at 6:30 PM with callbacks on Sunday, July 12 at 1 PM
* Where: The Reformed Dutch Church of Claverack, 88 Route 9H, Claverack, NY
* What to prepare: 16 to 32 bars (about 30 seconds) of a song of your choosing in the style of the musical.
* What to bring: please bring an accompaniment/karaoke track on a Bluetooth compatible device; a Bluetooth speaker will be provided.
Dance auditions will be held for all who are able, so please wear clothes and shoes you can move in. Sides from the show will be provided.
Please bring a list of your schedule conflicts for the months of September, October, and November.
